AFS Experimental Gill Net
The American Fisheries Society monofilament experimental gill net is made to their specifications. Measuring 80’ Long x 6’ Deep, they feature eight 10’ Length Panels with the following Netting Panel Order (all square measurements): 1-1/2” #104, 2-1/4” #139, 1” #69, 1-3/4” #104 , 3/4” #69, 2-1/2” #139, 1-1/4” #69, 2” #104. Netting splices are woven together using #9 twine. Hung with #9 twine to 3/8” Foam Core Rope and #30 Leadline.
