Effectively prevents ice from forming around boats, marinas, docks, and piers! The 3/4-hp Ice Eater uses a propeller to draw up subsurface water, deflect it to the surface, and create a continuous circulation of the warmer water that prevents ice formation. The Ice Eater also melts existing ice by using the constant current of warmer water. The venturi shroud (housing) features outwardly flared ends that draw water from greater depths than other conventional de-icers, and the shroud can be submerged below the surface either vertically or angled from vertical. Designed for use in fresh or salt water, the Ice Eater offers maximum efficiency in all climatic conditions. Easy to install, the Ice Eater comes complete with two 25’ x 3/8” hollow braided polypropylene suspension lines with shackles. Simply hang the Ice Eater from a pier or boat and then plug it in.
