Use the Regular Auger for sandy or clay loams. Thread-On All Stainless Steel Auger Buckets - Auger down to a depth of five feet in just two minutes – even in the hardest soils! Traditional thread-on style lets you quickly connect and disconnect components. Thread-on features 5/8” NC threaded pin coupling. For applications where minimum contamination of your sample is important, use the augers with Stainless Steel Bit. On all augers, cylinders are stainless steel, 6-1/2” long. Overall auger length is approximately 12”. Cutting edges are stelite hard surfaced, heat treated, and sharpened to a fine cutting edge.
