In addition to taking wind speed and temperature measurements, the Kestrel 2500 also measures altitude and barometric pressure. Current, maximum, and average wind speed are displayed in meters per second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour, feet per minute, knots, or Beaufort Force. Temperature, wind chill, heat stress, and dew point are measured in °C or °F. Barometric pressure is expressed in hPa or inHg. Altitude can be measured in feet or meters. The three-hour pressure trend function allows you to forecast weather conditions. The meter also features a real-time clock, data hold function, automatic shutoff after 45 minutes, large backlit display, a quick response external thermistor, and a user-replaceable impeller.
