Designed for sampling in moderately cohesive soil layers below the groundwater level to a depth of up to 5 meters, this piston sampler is ideal for use in sediment sampling, environmental soil research, and soil profile description and classification. The samples obtained are practically undisturbed and allow for fast, accurate profile descriptions without the hassle of casings and coring tubes. Sampling can be done in auger holes or in open water, and bayonet connections allow for easy assembly.
