This lightweight rope friction device is designed for lowering heavy wood out of a tree in a safe, controlled manner. The Portawrap can be quickly wrapped and unwrapped between loads and ensures consistent friction to ropes, allowing the ground worker to focus entirely on the activity above. A special tree-protecting cap prevents gouging and disfiguration of the targeted tree. The Portawrap’s seamless main tube maximizes its strength-to-weight ratio, and all edges and solid posts are chamfered to eliminate sharp edges.
