The Maggie detects the magnetic field of ferromagnetic objects and features continuous sensitivity adjustment for finite control. Detect the magnetic fields of magnetized markers, manholes, septic tanks, well casings, valve boxes, cast iron pipes, steel drums, and unexploded ordnance. Objects such as well casings can be detected up to 15 feet deep. An 18” length of 3/4” rebar can be located at depths up to 7 feet. The Maggie also precisely locates metal handles or reinforcing bars on septic tank covers at depths up to 4 feet. Plastic enclosures containing magnets are easily located at depths of 6 feet or more. The audio output signal increases in frequency with gradient field intensity, and a visual display indicates polarity, signal strength, gain level, and battery level.
