Fisher TW-6 Pipe and Cable Locator without Handle

$925.92

Easy adjusting sensitivity control will rotate up or down in the normal or high range. Also has an easy-to-use, on-board battery tester. Conductive mode is used by plugging in the ground plate assembly or coupling clamp. A voltage controlled oscillator makes sensing a target easy and precise, often without referring to meter indications. Batteries included. How it works... Inductive locating – A one-man operation used with accessory handle for location of discrete objects – the preferred method of locating unknown or lost conductors, the end of a pipe, or the lateral or drop line from a main or cable. Locates manholes, valve boxes, pedestals, junction boxes, vaults, metal reinforced septic tanks, cable, pipe, conductive warning tape, short stubs, laterals, droplines, dead ends, T’s, L’s, direct buried splices with closed circuit loop of wire 18” diameter, and plastic pedestals with loop of wire. Inductive tracing – A one-man operation used without handle for tracing underground service when a starting point is known. Two-man operation is advisable when the starting point is unknown and the course of the service must be established. Locates pipes, cables, mains, laterals, drop lines, dead ends, bends, T’s, L’s, and conductive warning tape. Conductive tracing – A one-man operation used without handle for tracing an individual conductor or for use when other conductors or interfering metal objects are nearby. This method may also be used to trace non-metallic pipes by connecting to a tracing wire or to a snake or fish tape fed into these services. Locates pipes, cables, mains, laterals, drop lines, dead ends, bends, T’s, L’s, sewers with snake, plastic duct with snake, and plastic pipe with tracing wire.
