StrikeAlert Personal Lightning Detector

Ultra-compact and portable, StrikeAlert warns you of lightning strikes up to 40 miles away! An audible alarm and four corresponding LEDs combine to indicate how far away the lightning is (24 to 40 miles, 12 to 24 miles, 6 to 12 miles, or within 6 miles). Using a trend of lightning strike distances over the last five minutes, StrikeAlert can also determine if a storm is approaching, departing, or stationary. The detector is housed in an impact-resistant, pager-like casing that clips to your belt, golf bag, or backpack. The unit shuts off after two hours without lightning detection, and two AAA batteries (included) provide up to 100 hours of operation. One-year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
