SPOT Gen3 Satellite GPS Messenger

This pocket-sized device helps you stay connected wherever you are! Utilizing the GPS satellite network, SPOT acquires its current coordinates and then sends its location and a pre-programmed message via a commercial satellite network. SPOT’s motion-activated tracking sends tracking information only when you are moving, conserving valuable battery power. In addition to Basic Tracking, Unlimited and Extreme Tracking options let you choose the rate at which tracking messages are sent (every 2-1/2, 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes) for as long as the device is turned on. A Check In feature sends a pre-programmed text message with GPS coordinates or an e-mail (with a link to Google Maps™) to up to ten pre-selected contacts. In emergency situations, the S.O.S. feature provides your GPS coordinates to local response teams. During non-emergency situations, use the Help/SPOT Assist feature to alert your personal contacts that you need assistance. SPOT works around the world, including virtually all of North America, Europe, and Australia; portions of South America, Northern Africa, and Northeastern Asia; and hundreds or thousands of miles offshore of these areas. Includes batteries, strap, USB cable, carabiner, and quick reference guide. An active annual service subscription is required for use.
