Density Slope Classroom Set

This class set of 48 density specimens guides students to discover the idea of density as a mathematical concept and that it is a constant for a given substance. Using 4 material samples of the same material, students will determine the mass and volume of each and plot the data on a graph to see the data points fall on one straight line that has a constant slope which may be calculated to determine the density of the material. Students will also perform tests to determine volume and mass. Includes 12 transparent tubes with 4 samples in each tube plus two extra tubes for other experiments and an instruction/experiment guide.
