Petzl Stop Descender

Simply release the handle of the descender to stop or considerably slow your descent. The auto braking feature can be disabled by clipping a carabiner in the hole of the descender’s handle. Rope can be inserted or removed without unclipping the descender. Use the descender with clean, flexible rope from 10 mm to 11 mm in diameter. Control surfaces constructed of stainless steel. Safe working load: 330 lbs. (150 kg). Breaking strength: 3,150 lbs. (14 kN).
