Thames & Kosmos Physics Solar Workshop v2.0

Students will learn about harnessing and using solar power as they experiment with motors, gears and simple machines to build five models including a helicopter, solar-bot, moon rover, stag beetle, and praying mantis. By building these models and conducting experiments with them, students will learn how solar cells transform light into electrical energy, and how motors and mechanical devices can optimize the work done by this energy. This workshop includes 138 parts, which are compatible with other Thames & Kosmos physics and engineering kits. The 48-page book offers illustrated step-by-step instructions for the projects.
